If you are a Senior Bid Manager comfortable being in a customer facing role, developing long-term mutually beneficial customer relationships and leading complex Bid teams, this role is for you!

Your mission

The Senior Bid Manager (f/m/d) will lead all required workstreams required to take our complex opportunities from sign-on through to contract closure. Predominantly focussed towards Hyperscale opportunities, the role will also encompass opportunities from cloud/AI organisations and German Public Sector.

Your profile

  • Through direct ownership of Bids and assistance to the Director of Bid Management on those bids directly managed by him:
    Working with SMEs from within maincubes to manage all required workstreams to take complex opportunities from early stage to contract, including:
    • Sales
    • Commercial
    • Financial
    • Design
    • Operations
    • Legal
  • This will include the below:
    • Defining the workstreams required to support bid success
    • Resourcing the Bid Team required to manage those workstreams
    • Setting, allocating and managing the tasks required
    • Creating, maintaining and managing a solid Bid Plan to meet the required milestones
    • Ensuring Governance requirements are planned for and met
  • This role, although supported by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will require the Senior Bid Manager to be hands on and directly manage all workstreams, including risk awareness, management and troubleshooting – the environment requires a hands-on Bid Manager who has the confidence and skill set to directly manage each workstream and liaise with senior stakeholders
  • Leading the customer:
    • Creating rapport and strong relationship with the customer 
    • Ensuring that customer process is understood and that all aspects of their requirements, and deliverables are planned for and delivered
    • Negotiating with the customer where required – timelines, deliverables required from the customer etc
  • Representing the customer need and championing the customer requirement within maincubes – to SMEs and Senior Leadership
  • Further, the role will require support to the Director of Bid Management in overall improvement of approaches towards Bid Best Practice including:
    • Process development
    • Bid Library
    • Lessons Learned

What’s in it for you

  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Significant experience in datacentre Bid Management, 5 years +
  • Experience within both Public Sector and Corporate bids – experience within hyperscale data centre bids highly advantageous
  • Strong experience in project management of complex bids – not just document management
  • Skills and experience to support management of all workstream disciplines
  • Comfortable liaising with customers, SMEs and Senior Leaders
  • Ability to work effectively in evolving or ambitious environments
  • Data informed decision-making and problem solving
  • Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing priorities
